Charlie Sifford – the first Black player to earn his PGA TOUR card – is a native of Charlotte, NC. To honor his achievements, the Dr. Charles L. Sifford Golf Course is hosting a golf tournament on May 13th during PGA Championship tournament week to generate donations for the Sifford Scholarship Fund.
